Oberoi and Reliance Could form a JV for the Construction of Two Hotels

Business and Real EstateEast India Hotels (EIH), which operates the chain of luxury hotels The Oberoi, is considering forming a joint venture with Mukesh Ambani group, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) to develop two new hotels in Goa and Bangalore.

The investment required to develop the two hotels will amount to 7,000 billion rupees (just over 100 million Euros).

President Oberoi refused to divulge details on the model of joint venture, adding that the proposed hotel would have 250 rooms in Bangalore and Goa have 100 and would be managed by the Oberoi hotels.
