Now the question is not just what’s going on? but where are you? Now you can add a location or select one already used by other followers or users.
Do not seem ideal to write the name of a street and appearing also restaurants and shops in the area. Places Twitter is integrated with services like Foursquare or Gowalla, so if we select a particular location for one of our tweets, we also see the check-ins have occurred at that site by users Gowalla and Foursquare. Companies and advertisers could benefit from this information being increasingly targeted in promotions and advertisements.
Places Twitter will be progressively implemented in 65 countries and will get your database thanks to a partnership with TomTom and Localeze, for now only be for the twitter.com website and the mobile version, but will soon reach the official application iPhone, Android and Blackberry, as well as the API for third party applications.
